SPRING SUBLET - private bedroom in 3b1b in downtown Amherst
Hi all! I’m subletting my room in a 3b1b house in Amherst for the spring semester (lease ends May 31st, possibly you could stay over the summer too but we’d have to work all that out). I would prefer a start date of February 1st, because I get back... at the end of January and would need to get my clothes out, but open to negotiation if you need an earlier start.
·Location: 5 minute walk to downtown Amherst and to the bus stop for multiple PTVA bus lines, including the B43 to Northampton; around 10 minutes on foot and less than 5 minutes by bike to UMass, 15-20 minutes to Amherst College on foot and 10 minutes by bike. Location is really nice, you can walk to the library, to cafes, to shops,…
·Costs per person: Rent is $810/month; electricity is around $50/month; wifi shared with neighbors comes to $18/month (we've never had speed issues)
·Amenities: washing machine and (new) dryer in the basement (no laundry fees!); parking available in the driveway; furnished common areas, with kitchen and bathroom renovated last year
·The room can also come furnished with a desk, chair, twin bed, armchair (a little broken), lamp, and small shelf if you’d like (basically, what you see in the pictures)
·Roommates: you'd be living with a 4th year graduate student in the Spanish and Portuguese department and a 1st year student in Speech, Language, and Hearing, both in the late 20s early 30s age range. Graduate students or working professionals strongly preferred!
·What we’re looking for: someone who can share a space, clean up after themselves (e.g., dishes don’t stay in the sink more than a day), be respectful with noise, and communicate effectively about any issues that come up.
·If you are interested, feel free to send me a message with a bit of info about yourself, and if it seems like a good fit, we can schedule a call to chat 😊
