SUMMER SUBLET (June, July, August) in AMHERST

I am subletting my room in a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house in Amherst for the duration of three months, from around the end of May to the end of August. Unfortunately, it is not possible to renew the lease as I'll be back on August 28th for the next... school year.

Here are some details about the place:

Location: Amherst, 3 minutes walking to downtown and to bus stop for many PTVA bus lines including the B43 to Northampton, 15 minutes on foot to UMass and 20 to Amherst college, driving is like 5 minutes or less and biking 3-4 minutes.

Rent: $810/month, internet (we share wifi with the neighbors, so it comes to about $18/month/person and I’ve never had speed issues) and electricity is around $40/month/person. The landlords will want to know about you and require a security deposit of 1 month rent that you’ll get back once you move out (their reasoning is that 3 months is definitely enough time to thrash the place).

Amenities: The house has a washing machine and dryer in the basement, so no need to worry about laundry costs. There’s parking available on the side of the house if you have a car. The room comes with a window AC unit, perfect for the summer heat, a TV. Both the room and common areas are furnished, and the kitchen and bathroom were renovated in January, and we just got a new stovetop! I'll be leaving the furniture in my room, so there's no need to buy additional furniture if you need it.

Expectations: I’m looking for someone who can take care of the space and be careful with it, who can get along with housemates and knows how to share a space, and who can communicate properly about any issues that come up, which is all super basic stuff but bears mentioning.

If you're interested, please shoot me a message telling me a bit about yourself. If it looks like it can work out, we can arrange a visit or call for you to see the place.

(If there are two people looking for two rooms, there’s another one available. If you're interested in that room as well, just let me know, and I’ll send you pictures of it)
