North East Street

Hello! My name is Bex. I'm a PhD student in the English department at UMass looking for housemates to fill two available rooms in our lovely shared home on North East Street in Amherst. We have a nice 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom house about 5 minutes from... campus with a great living room and well-equipped kitchen. The house comes with a washer, dryer, and dishwasher for convenience. The location is fantastic - the bus stop for the 30 route is right at the street corner for easy commuting. We also have two small driveways if you own a car. (We currently make space for five cars, so there is plenty of room if we plan it accordingly)

There are two rooms available: a larger room for $730/month and a smaller room for $705/month. The lease runs from June 1st, 2025 to May 31st, 2026. The house has a total monthly rent of $3,700, with each room priced individually. While utilities aren’t included in the rent, they typically run $80-100 per person monthly, depending on the season. The landlord takes care of all lawn maintenance.

Our home sits on half an acre of land with two raised garden beds, lots of birds and wildlife, and one of our neighbors is a nearby horse farm. It’s a quiet, peaceful area ideal for studying and relaxing. Two cats also call this place home - Goose and Boo. Goose is a sensitive, fluffy guy and keeps to himself, while Boo is a little sassy and opinionated but still quite friendly! They get along okay with other cats, but I'm unsure about dogs.

I'm hoping for other graduate students or responsible undergrads who appreciate a calm living environment. Visitors are always welcome, but I prefer no loud parties or music. Please DM if interested!
