Looking for a female to fill furnished room that will be available at the end of January or early February. The room is located on the second floor of a home with a shared entrance. Full bath shared by the two (2) upstairs tenants. Rent includes wifi Internet, heat, hot water, and trash removal. We provide summer and winter linens and bedding for the bed, in addition to bath towels. Please read through the entire ad and then message me with any questions. We are looking for a graduate student or professional to female The house is fully furnished, ideal for a visiting scholar. The large bedroom fully furnished with a full size bed, nightstand, desk, bookshelf and dresser. There is a full closet in the hallway for your personal use. Room is roughly 140 square feet. East facing windows for morning light. In addition to the two bedrooms, there is also a common room on the second floor. This 185 common square foot space is for the upstairs tenants use. It has a small sink, small refrigerator, coffee pot, and microwave. There are dishes and storage for food or snacks. The common room upstairs has a kitchen style table, futon couch and television with dvd player upstairs in common room. There is also a full shared kitchen downstairs for primary cooking, with pots and pans, dishes and cookware. We provide everything you need for cooking. The upstairs common space is perfect for a light meal or snacks, and you will also have full use of the main kitchen. There is also an outdoor propane grill for house use. The house is on a dead end street about a mile from downtown (address is 60 Spaulding Street in Amherst). Very quiet considering the proximity to town. We would prefer someone without a car because there is limited room in the driveway. We are on the PVTA 30 bus stop and about a 25 minute walk to UMass campus. Quiet backyard, quiet neighborhood. There is one bedroom downstairs which is occupied by the one permanent housemate. She is retired and likes to cook, bake, watch movies and read. She prefers local organic food and good wine and on occasion. Composting and recycling are provided. The house is near the train tracks, with the train going by a few times a day. Guests have always gotten used to it after a few days, but light sleeper won't like it. We like to have house dinners on special occasions, and like to keep a friendly, family atmosphere around the house. Over night guest are permitted, but terms may need to be negotiated in advance to avoid any conflicts. Laundry is on site in basement, clothes line in backyard (we try not to use the dryer when possible). We will ask for your help shoveling snow in the winter, but we do have a small snow blower.
