Basement Studio in Amherst
Renting a room in our finished basement with private bathroom, kitchen eating area (with refrigerator and microwave), cozy living room, and a separate entrance in and out of the house. This is a semi-private space, as there are areas of the basement... that are shared, including the laundry facilities.
We are looking for someone responsible, reasonably quiet, and who can provide references. Ideal for a graduate student. An indoor cat would be ok, however we cant accommodate a dog. The space can be rented fully furnished with dishes and everything needed.
Our house is in a quiet neighborhood in South Amherst, on a PVTA bus line. You do not need a car to live here. The backyard is connected to over 100 acres of conservation land and walking trails at Bramble Hill Farm (trails are open to the public). Parking space provided if you have a car.
The upstairs inhabitants include a 3 person family, including an 11 year-old child and three indoor/outdoor cats. If you rent the basement space, you will hear movements from upstairs but the sound is muffled.
Rent is $1100, utilities and internet are included. The space is available September 1st. Month to month lease.
Our neighborhood is on a PVTA bus route with easy access to Amherst College, UMass, and Hampshire College. We are a five minute drive to Target, Whole Foods, and Walmart. Diverse family neighborhood with welcoming neighbors. Queer friendly.
