This unit, formerly called Penny Lane before the pandemic when it served as the Junior Suite Guest Room on the 2nd floor of gorgeous 1868 Second Empire home in National Historic District, 3 blocks from vibrant Downtown Northampton - restaurants, shops, and music venues. Previously operated as a Bed & Breakfast before the pandemic. Free parking on property. Mini split in unit for tenant's own comfort settings of heat and cool. Best for someone who likes to live a bit on the cooler side in the winter. There's backup gas heat, but owner keeps it fairly cool. The mini splits work when outdoor temps are above 30. Gas boiler with radiator heat kicks on below that. It's a bit tricky so not great for those who like a really warm place in the winter. Pets live in main house, but are not allowed to visit tenants. Owner lives in home and enters through back door. Very safe and clean. Front porch lights are on timer from dusk to about 1 a.m. Doorknobs cleaned daily with sanitizer. Options with minimal extra fee include: laundry usage ($30/mo for 1x/week, specified day/times). Ok to rent by semester or month-to-month. Lease and security deposit required.
