1 BR, 3/4 BA. kitchenette suite in no-meat shared home (friendly dog welcome)

Seeking grad, postdoc, faculty, or professional for room and suite in faculty family home. Basement suite includes bedroom, 3/4 bath, kitchenette, $1050 including utilities. Rent reduction for low-heat, low-electricity months May-October: -$100 suite... (so $950/month rent). Shared spaces upstairs: full kitchen, living room, sun room, yard and garden. 15 minute walk to north end of campus (Ed School) and on PVTA route 33. House is peanut-free and meat-free (vegetarian/pescatarian--except for dogfood); main kitchen is gluten-free. Residents are 61-year-old faculty member, 21-year-old son, 5-year-old dog. We are seeking housemates, not just tenants: people who will have meals with us ~once/week and be interested on occasion to hang out and chat, play cards, go on dogwalks, watch sports, etc. We'd love it if you have a sociable dog who could be friends with our dog. We are environmentally conscious and a bit quirky, and we welcome someone who is open-minded, friendly but also sometimes quiet and independent, interested in thinking and talking about world affairs, natural history, different cultures, climate change, sports, teaching and learning, or other topics of the day. Please email if you are interested and tell us about yourself, and your interest in the rooms. LGBTQ and international-friendly. *Will consider students displaced by Olympia Place fire for early move-in.*
