2 BR home, child- and dog-friendly, 15 min walk to UMass

Seeking sabbatical family, local family, or local pair of friends, of grads, postdocs, faculty, or professionals for two rooms in a 4 BR home. If it's a family, I'm happy to give you the main floor as your own space, along with primary use of the... large kid-friendly playroom downstairs. The available bedrooms (both on the main floor) are the master bedroom, south-facing (toward front yard), approx 14' x 15', and the former kid bedroom, north-facing (toward backyard), approx 12 x 15'. Both get good light. Those two rooms share the main bath (with tub). The rest of the main floor is the main (large) kitchen, large living room, lovely sunroom, and mud room. It's a great family home--on a cul-de-sac, many nice kids in the neighborhood. Dog and I are in downstairs suite (we have our own bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette) about half time (during the semester, Sun afternoon through Weds afternoon; other half time in Cambridge) and come through the main entrance, so this is best for a family or a pair of friends who are interested in regular hellos and open communication. Occasional shared meals/activities welcome. You and I share basement washer & dryer and playroom, garage, yard--and if you're not a family, then also the mudroom and sunroom. A third bedroom on the main floor is closed, used only occasionally by my college-age son when he comes home for about 1 week; he'll use the downstairs bath. You can rent a small basement room (about 12' x 8', with a window) as an office if you want, for an additional $200/month. 12 minute walk to north end of campus (Ed School / Sylvan), 10 min walk to PVTA route 33 (E Pleasant). Huge UMass ag field next door with amazing sunsets, great for walking. House is peanut-free and meat-free (vegetarian/pescatarian--except for dogfood). I am a 61-year-old faculty member, environmentally and socially conscious; my dog is a 6-year-old dog mixed breed; my son is 21 and currently in California at college, including in the summer. I would welcome a sociable dog who could be friends with our dog. LGBTQ friendly, international welcome.
